Special thanks to Stacy Sinclair, for spearheading this project and her commitment to reducing waste at LA Metro and in general. And the rest of the Metro team including Alvin Kusumoto, Jordan Vann and Aurea Adao. We couldn't do this good work without you.

LA Metro X Rewilder Context The LA Metro wants to make a memorable and impactful gift for Transit Operations Appreciation Day during the month of March. Challenge It is difficult to find branded gifts that are useful, well-designed, and meaningful. Oftentimes, corporate swag ends up being tossed aside, or worse, in a landfill. Impact In keeping with Los Angeles Metro’s value of committing to reduce, re-use, and recycle all internal resources and reduce GHG emissions, Metro is choosing up-cycled bags for gifting to reduce waste, resource usage, and carbon emissions. The final products made out of salvaged airbag and seatbelt will be a reminder for the people who keep Metro safe and reliable that they are helping Los Angeles leave behind the smog and stress of driving.
